Convergys Hiring for On-site, Work-at-Home Jobs in Clarksville, TN Area

- Customer Service Positions Available in the Telecommunications Industry -

(Cincinnati & Clarksville, Tennessee; June 17, 2011) – Convergys Corporation (NYSE: CVG), a global leader in relationship management, is hiring for both on-site and work-at-home positions for its contact center in Clarksville, Tennessee.  About 300 on-site employees and 75 work-at-home employees are needed.

New employees will provide customer service support to a client in the telecommunications industry.

The local chapter of the American Red Cross also will be at the contact center conducting a blood drive with Convergys employees.  Job fair attendees may donate blood if times are available while they are on site.

“These positions are ideally suited to anyone who appreciates the importance of building strong customer relationships while helping to resolve a caller’s inquiries or concerns,” said David Lovely, site leader for the Convergys contact center in Clarksville.  “With gas prices on the rise, we are especially pleased to offer work-at-home positions that allow us to extend employment to qualified individuals in the Clarksville area who may find commuting to be difficult or cost prohibitive.”

“The Clarksville community provided overwhelming support to us after we lost our original site in the devastating floods last spring,” Lovely added.  “We hope some of the attendees at the job fair will join with us in giving back to the community and supporting the American Red Cross in their important work.”

Potential candidates should possess solid customer service experience, strong computer/keyboarding skills, and the ability to work flexible hours.  Employment with Convergys also is contingent on the successful completion of a background check and drug screening.

Additionally, workplace requirements for work-at-home candidates include a quiet place to work inside their home, a PC that meets Convergys’ minimum standards, and high-speed Internet access.  Candidates must be able to work on-site initially, and must be able to come into the contact center for equipment issues or other needs.
