Convergys Receives High Honors as Outstanding Employer and Exporter at 2009 PEZA Awards

(Cincinnati & Manila; May 12, 2009) - Convergys Corporation (NYSE: CVG), a global leader in relationship management, announced today that it has received high recognition as both the Outstanding Employer and Outstanding Exporter in the Large Enterprise Category at the 2009 Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) Investors’ Appreciation Day, held in Manila.
Since the launch of the awards ceremony, PEZA has recognized Convergys six times with three wins each in the categories of Outstanding Employer and Outstanding Exporter. This year marks the third year in a row that Convergys has been named an Outstanding Exporter.
The PEZA Outstanding Employer Award recognizes organizations that generate the most jobs, highly regard the welfare of their workers, and maintain harmony between workforce and management. The Outstanding Exporter Award is given to a company that has shown outstanding performance in exports in the area of total export value, total percentage growth, total net trade balance, and is a good corporate citizen with a strong commitment to the community.

The Investors’ Appreciation Day is sponsored by the Philippine Economic Zone Authority, whose mission is to “contribute to the accelerated creation of employment and other economic opportunities, particularly in the countryside, and to spur the growth and diversification of exports, by encouraging and supporting investments in the development and operation of viable, world class and environment friendly economic zones.”
Convergys was also recently recognized as “BPO Employer of the Year” at the 2009 International ICT Awards, further solidifying Convergys as the employer of choice in the Philippines.
